Breakfast
Breakfast is served (for Melia Hotel guests) in The Place as follows: Monday – Friday: 06:30 – 10:30 and Saturday and Sunday: 07:00 – 11:00
CME Accreditation
An application will be made to EBAC (European Board for Accreditation in Cardiology) for CME accreditation of this event.
Currency
The currency in London is the Pound Sterling.
American Express, Diners Club, MasterCard and Visa are all widely accepted in shops and restaurants. ATMs are also widely available. Banking hours are from 09:30 – 16:30 Monday to Friday with many opening on Saturday mornings.
Dress Code
We encourage participants to dress comfortably in business casual attire as temperatures in meeting rooms will vary, we suggest you bring a sweater or light jacket to the sessions. Business Casual dress for all evening dinners.
Electricity
The voltage in London is 220-240V AC, with a frequency of 50/60 Hz. 3-pin United Kingdom plugs.
Expenses
Please note due to the nature of the funding provided by the event sponsors, we are not able to refund any other expenses incurred.
Event Language
The event language is English. No translation will be provided.
Information Desk
There will be an “Cardiology, Diabetes & Nephrology at the Limits 2020” Information Desk onsite.
Insurance
Please check the validity of your own insurance. The event organisers cannot accept liability for personal injuries, loss or damage to property belonging to event participants (or their accompanying persons), either during or as a result of the event.
Please note, travel insurance is NOT provided for attendees and therefore it is the responsibility of the delegate to ensure all travellers are sufficiently insured to cover for cancellation, medical expenses, loss of baggage etc.
Messages and Faxes
Any messages will be kept at the Hotel Reception Desk or delivered to your room.
Mobile Phones
All Networks have good reception in the hotel, at the RCP and all surrounding areas.
Presentations Archive
A video archive of all ‘At the Limits’ presentations will be available approximately 6 weeks after the meeting via the event website and shortly afterwards, on The Lancet website.
Time Difference
London is in the GMT time zone. At the time of the meeting Daylight Saving Time will be active so the correct time zone during this period will actually be BST (British Summer Time). BST is one hour ahead of GMT.
Passport
Please note that all passengers should travel with a valid passport for entry into the UK.
Visa Requirements
Delegates are requested to check with the British consulate in their home country for visa requirements. It is the responsibility of the participant to obtain a visa if required.
