Chris Boshoff completed his medical degree in South Africa and his PhD in the laboratories of Robin Weiss at the Institute of Cancer Research, London. He trained in Medical Oncology at the Royal London, Royal Free, Royal Marsden and University College London Hospitals.
In 2001 he was appointed Professor of Cancer Medicine at UCL and Head of the Cancer Research UK Viral Oncology Group. In 2007 he was appointed Director of the new UCL Cancer Institute. His current activities include cancer physician in the Head and Neck Tumour Unit at University College Hospital and translational research in Lung, and Head & Neck cancers. His laboratory is internationally known for their work on Kaposi sarcoma oncogenesis.
