Dr Joanne Jones is a consultant neurologist at Addenbrooke’s hospital in Cambridge, specialising in multiple sclerosis and other inflammatory diseases affecting the nervous system. She is also a Wellcome Trust Beit-Prize funded research scientist. During her PhD (University of Cambridge) she studied the effects of alemtuzumab (Lemtrada) on the immune system. She now runs a research group that works on understanding why immune regulation fails leading to autoimmune conditions such as multiple sclerosis.
