NATL II took place at the University of Cape Town (home to the 'At the Limits' series of medical education meetings) from 12th-15th February 2010. The Programme commenced on Friday afternoon when the Chairmen, Professor John Cunningham (Professor of Nephrology at the Royal Free Hospital and University College London) and Professor Brian Rayner (Head of the Division of Hypertension and senior consultant in the Division of Nephrology at the Groote Schuur Hospital and University of Cape Town) made their opening remarks. A full weekend programme followed with delegates being addressed by keynote presentations from some of the worlds' most prolific speakers on Nephrology and associated subject areas. Delegates have full access to video replay of the speeches and slide sets using their personalised log-in to the 'At the Limits' website..
'The aim of this meeting is to bring together a high powered faculty and an audience of nephrologists that is of a size conducive to debate and discussion of a programme spanning a wide range of nephrology challenges'. Professor Rayner, co-chairman.
'Delegates will be treated to presentations by speakers from Europe, the Americas and Africa. The Agenda is designed to educate and challenge with plenty of time set aside for debate and discussion' Professor Cunningham, co-chairman.
Delegate numbers at 'At the Limits' meetings are strictly controlled and around 300 Senior Nephrologists are invited to the Nephrology event.
'Nephrology at the Limits 2010' was sponsored by way of an educational grant from Shire plc.
